Cake Raffle!!!

RAFFLE......!!!!!!!
As you know my Dad has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and my Husband and Brother are doing a 10,000 ft skydive to raise money for research into this cancer due to such low survival rates and little research done so far.
I have decided to help them reach their target by doing a raffle for an 8" round chocolate cake (other flavours available) - see picture, any writing you want can be put on. This cake can be made for any date requested either in 2014 or 2015, subject to my avaiability.
All you have to do is have a look at their sponsor page and donate putting the message 'Cakes by Natalie - Raffle'. I will then message you with your raffle strip numbers. Please donate £1 per strip required.
Numbers will be drawn on Monday 12th May 2014.

Please help.....

Last month my wonderful Dad was tragically diagnosed with terminal Pancreatic Cancer, he has less than 12 months to live
Pancreatic Cancer itself only has a 3% survival rate, it is very hard to detect in the early stages and the survival statistics have barely changed in the past 30 years due to lack of funding.
Please sponsor my Husband and Brother on their skydive to help to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer, it is the 5th largest killer of all cancers.
Thank you xxx

Epic week of baking.................

What an epic week last week was.....100 chocolates, 70 cupcakes, 2 wedding cakes, 1 birthday cake and a Disney princess castle cake!!!!

Here are pictures of my 2 wedding cakes, both fairly simple in design :)

The round cake was a 2 tier fruit which meant it could be made a while ago and I only had to ice it last week, the square cake was a gluten free vanilla and jam sponge.
I think that is about it this year for wedding cakes, unless I get any more bookings. I have quite a lot booked in for next year and even a couple for 2015!!!!

I have popped a picture below of the wedding cupcakes I made, these were vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream in cream and cerise.

I also made 100 Belgian choclates as wedding favours, there were 50 x Baileys and 50 x milk chocolate soft truffle.

Then came the Disney Princess castle cake....this was the big challenge as I have not made such a large cake before. The turrets are made from sugarpaste so it meant that apart from the Disney Princess characters the whole cake was edible.
I really enjoyed making this cake and hope to make another one in the future :)

Well that's all my news, this week I am making a double height engagement cake that will be airbrushed and hope fully look like a beach sunset with a silhouette of a manproposing to his girlfriend...hope that work well!!!

Thanks for reading :) x
